In an “In-Your-Face” move, a former SEAL and his wife are slamming Starbucks for its shabby treatment of several uniformed Police Officers, having a pre-shift cup of overpriced water. The barista asked them to either move from the sight of another patron, or just leave. Seems their very presence was making coffee-boi “feel unsafe” by their very presence. So they left.<\/p>\n
Salvatore and Dana DeFranco were just opening their own coffee shop when they heard of the debacle, and decided to take it to Starbucks in an unmistakable manner. <\/p>\n

\nLest you missed it \u2013 here\u2019s what happened.<\/p>\nPolice enjoying a cup of coffee were kicked out of a Starbucks coffee shop in Tempe, Arizona on the Fourth of July.<\/p>\n
Why? Because a customer complained they \u201cdid not feel safe\u201d with the cops present, according to reports.<\/p>\n
The five officers were sipping coffee at the Starbucks before their shift started. That\u2019s when a barista asked them to move out of the complaining customer\u2019s line of sight or else leave.<\/p>\n
Sal is a former Navy SEAL. He and his wife, Dana, run a couple of Battle Grounds coffee locations in Massachusetts. They have a strong online presence and are finalizing plans to open a half dozen more locations in the near future. They were outraged over the news.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese are men and women who serve and protect our communities every single day. For someone to say they didn\u2019t feel safe around them is ludicrous,\u201d said Sal.<\/strong><\/p>\n
Dana, who oversees the daily operations at Battle Grounds Coffee, said the core problem was how the store handled it.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou\u2019re going to kick out five protectors because you have one person who can\u2019t handle reality? Shame on that store. If that happened in our business, not a single one of those officers would have had a bill\u2026 and we would have kicked out the complainer,\u201d said Dana.<\/strong><\/p>\n
Sal pointed out the hypocrisy of Starbucks.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn 2018, two black men who weren\u2019t paying customers were arrested for trespassing after they refused to leave a Starbucks. Starbucks turned around and closed some 8,000 locations for a business day to conduct \u2018racial bias training\u2019. When does Starbucks plan on closing for a day to train their employees to respect law enforcement and our veterans?\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
