Steve Stroud.<\/p>\n But the clerk confronted the would-be robber with a gun she had and the man fled the store without any money, Stroud said.<\/p>\n Responding officers were able to get a description of the man and found him walking the area of Ward Boulevard and Hadley Street. Police identified the suspect as 22-year-old Jacob S. Dawson. Stroud said the note he passed to the store clerk was still in his pocket when police arrested him.<\/p>\n Dawson is charged with attempted armed robbery with a dangerous weapon.
