Defense attorneys called it a \u201cmutiny\u201d by entitled, junior SEALs\u00a0trying to oust a demanding chief<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The case of the highly decorated Special Warfare Operator Chief Edward \u201cEddie\u201d Gallagher is now in the hands of a jury of five Marines and two sailors, including a SEAL, many of whom had been in heavy combat in Iraq.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Both sides told jurors that witnesses had lied on the stand and it was their duty to push through the evidence to find the truth. The panel will weigh whether Gallagher, a 19-year veteran on his eighth deployment, went off the rails and fatally stabbed the war prisoner on May 3, 2017, as a kind of trophy kill, or was the victim of allegations fabricated after the platoon returned to San Diego to stop him from getting a Silver Star and being advanced. – Article<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Did he or didn’t he? Is this collusion of some kind from a bunch of\u00a0whiny sailors trying to stop Gallagher’s advancement? Or did he really do it?<\/p>\n

If you have ever worked for someone who is an abrasive SOB, you keep hoping that some day, he’ll drop dead and no one will come to his funeral. If, on the other hand, that same someone’s been filching cash from the company’s accounts, and you saw him doing it – and everybody knows about it<\/em> – well, you know that someone is going to go under, period, once it’s reported.<\/p>\n

So we’re left out here on the outside with trying to figure out which way the wind really does blow on this business. But there was no blood on his knife in the photo of it, and there were no stab wounds in the dead jihadi’s neck. Those guys all posed with the dead jihadi. That “beyond a reasonable doubt” thing comes up here.<\/p>\n
