MINNEAPOLIS (AP) \u2014 A volunteer for Minnesota\u2019s Sixth Congressional District Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party committee has resigned after posting a tweet in which he suggested Marines are murderers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The state DFL Party said Laine Scheuble resigned Friday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Scheuble had been responding to a tweet by Republican U.S. Rep. Tom Emmer, who congratulated his son for becoming a Marine. The\u00a0Star Tribune<\/a>\u00a0reports that a Twitter user named Laine wrote: “Can’t wait to hear about all the Iranian civilians he murdered.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Yes, well, it won’t cloak this post-1960s-wannabe-a-draft-dodger from backlash. He does seem to want attention. His twitterpating is awash in vulgarisms and profanity.\u00a0 I’m sure he thinks he’s funny.\u00a0 He needs some time with some very hostile individuals.\u00a0 Might be do him good to just drop him off in Teheran for a protracted visit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
