Gunman robs convenience store, owner fires back, suspect critical<\/strong> Author: WWL Staff The incident occurred in the 400 block of Belle Terre Boulevard just before 9 a.m.<\/p>\n According to the sheriff\u2019s office, the suspect, identified as 43-year-old Darnell Lee, robbed the store at gunpoint. <\/p>\n One of the owners — the one who did not shoot the robber — described the incident.<\/p>\n \u201cI seen this guy with a gun,” the owner, who did not want to be identified publicly, said. “‘It\u2019s a robbery, give it up, give it up.\u2019 He put the gun at the cashier’s head and took the money and walked out.\u201d<\/p>\n He said that as the suspect was leaving, his brother took out his gun.<\/p>\n \u201cWe met him at the back door, me and my brother, that\u2019s what happened. He got shot.\u201d<\/p>\n The gunshot hit Lee in the neck. Police said Lee was in critical condition.<\/p>\n The owner told WWL-TV the store had been robbed before. <\/p>\n Some of the customers outside of the store said the owner did the right thing.<\/p>\n \u201cIt just so happens he got shot, but it could have been the other way around,” one customer said. “An innocent storeowner could have been the one with a bullet in his neck.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n 0 \/ 1 \/ 0 Deputies: Disgruntled customer fired shots at auto repair shop owner<\/strong><\/p>\n LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. – Detectives said they have spoken with the district attorney’s office about increasing charges for a man accused of opening fire at an auto repair shop owner in Lincoln County on Thursday. <\/p>\n Officers responded to Chemistry Lab Paint and Fab along N.C. 16 Business in Denver around 5:40 p.m after receiving reports that two people got into an argument inside the business and shots were fired.<\/p>\n Deputies said McQuiller, who was upset about some work that the shop did on his car, came into the business to confront the owner.<\/p>\n Deputies said McQuiller began firing a handgun at employees from outside the door and then went inside and fired another shot. <\/p>\n Channel 9’s Gaston County reporter Ken Lemon obtained 911 calls and they revealed the chaotic moments when investigators said roughly six employees were inside, caught off guard. <\/p>\n “He just came in and started firing,” the 911 caller said. “Shots fired. We’re getting, we’re uh. Somebody’s shooting at us right now. We’re inside the building. We need somebody here ASAP.” <\/p>\n The owner of the business then grabbed a shotgun from his office and fired at McQuiller, hitting with several small pellets in the face and neck.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n 0 \/ 1 \/ 0 Security guard kills man who rammed vehicle into grocery<\/strong><\/p>\n By Matthew Reisen A security guard shot and killed the man Wednesday night after he rammed the entrance to the Albertsons at Lomas and Juan Tabo with a teal Jeep, knocking down a tree and striking the guard in the process, according to the Albuquerque Police Department.<\/p>\n APD spokesman Tanner Tixier said officers believe the man was trying to free a woman who store employees say had been caught trying to steal liquor.<\/p>\n He said the security guard is cooperating with police and is not expected to face charges. Tixier did not provide the security guard\u2019s name or identify the company he works for.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nA man\u2019s apparent attempt to help a woman accused of stealing liquor at a Northeast Heights grocery by ramming a Jeep into the store did not end well.<\/p>\n
