Despite being asked to leave and told the cops had already been called, Oldham refused to leave her house. The woman, who family members confirmed knew the intruder, then threatened to shoot the suspect.

Still, the man did not leave. Finally, the victim pulled the trigger and subsequently shot the man. At around 8:15 am, the police arrived and found him with “moderate injuries” and armed with a hammer. He was transported to a local hospital. Once he is medically cleared, he will be “charged with robbery, burglary, child endangerment and assault with a deadly weapon, according to KCSO officials.”

0 / 1 / 0
The rest of the article may be viewed here: Town Hall

FBI agent shoots, kills man at ABQ brewery
Police surround Nexus Brewery after a shooting involving an off-duty federal agent Saturday night. (Adolphe Pierre-Louis/Journal)

By Matthew Reisen
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A homicide investigation is underway after an FBI agent fatally shot a man involved in a domestic dispute at a northeast Albuquerque brewery late Saturday, according to the police.

Albuquerque Police Department spokesman Simon Drobik did not say if the agent was fired upon first or whether other agents were present. No one was in custody or charged with a crime.

Drobik said that around 8 p.m. a woman called police to report she was being stalked, and she soon showed up at Nexus Brewery, off the Interstate 25 frontage road just north of Montgomery.

He said the man followed the woman inside the brewery and pulled out a gun. At least one FBI agent, who was off duty at the time, was inside the brewery and opened fire on the man, who died at the hospital.

“The agent saw that and stopped his actions, basically,” Drobik said. “These guys were off duty so we’re treating it as a homicide investigation.”

1 / 0 / 0
Read the rest of the article here: Albuquerque Journal

TWRA: Carter County man shoots bear after it reportedly charged him

By: Curtis Carden
CARTER COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) – Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency officials are investigating a reported bear encounter from early Saturday morning in Carter County.

TWRA Spokesperson Matt Cameron said the incident happened off Blevins Road in Roan Mountain around 12:30 a.m.

Cameron said the homeowner heard a noise outside of his house and went to investigate while carrying a 12-gauge shotgun.

When he stepped outside, a bear appeared nearby. The homeowner reportedly fired one shot in the air and a second shot in the bear’s direction to try and scare it away.

As the bear left, a second bear appeared from behind some shrubs and ran in the homeowner’s direction, Cameron said.

0 / 0 / 2
Did the noise sound remarkably like a bear knocking over a shit-can Hmmm?
