The United States and Mexico finally reached an immigration agreement. This agreement prevents the implementation of a 5% tariffs on goods coming to the U.S. from Mexico. President Trump, a businessman by trade, knew exactly what he needed to do to get the other side to an agreement.<\/p>\n

He understood the psychology in the minds of those rich and superrich pulling the strings on the Mexican side of the border. These individuals previously didn’t have the incentive to pressure the Mexican government to work with the United States with regards to illegal immigration.<\/p>\n

Knowing how these businessmen think, as well as what goes on in their minds, President Trump knew what to do and say. A 5% tariffs on goods, building up each month, didn’t spell well for those on the Mexican side. Either continue the status quo and feel the pain or choose an alternative that President Trump wanted. The later was less of a pain.<\/p>\n

President Trump was criticized from both sides of the aisle for engaging in this. However, he managed to get a deal at the last minute.<\/p>\n

The Mexican government will utilize resources and spend money in order to implement their side of the agreement. By reducing the flow of illegal immigration to the U.S., to include controlling Mexico’s smaller southern border, Mexico is starting to become an extension of our wall.<\/p>\n
