Concealed carry holder shoots gunman in head in Chicago, police say<\/strong><\/p>\n

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) – A concealed carry holder shot and critically wounded someone who approached him with a gun Monday in Little Village on the Southwest Side.<\/p>\n

He was walking into an apartment alley about 4:15 p.m. when a man approached him in the 2500 block of South California Avenue and took out a handgun, Chicago police said.<\/p>\n

The man, 25, took out his own gun and shot the 20-year-old in his head, police said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

1 man dead, another injured following dispute over trespassing <\/strong><\/p>\n

\nCONCORD, Ga. (CBS46) A dispute over trespassing has left one man dead and another injured.<\/p>\n

According to the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, a homeowner and his son noticed a man on their property and when they went to check it out, the man began firing shots at them.<\/p>\n

The son of the homeowner, later identified as Nathan Prater, was struck by a bullet but was holding a shotgun and returned fire. The suspect, identified as 45 year-old Darrell Brown, was hit and collapsed after trying to run away.<\/p>\n

Brown was taken to an area hospital where he later passed away. Prater was also taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Suspect shot during attempted car burglary in Tigerland<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nBATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – A man was shot and later arrested after he and another man were trying to burglarize a vehicle in the Tigerland neighborhood.<\/p>\n

Police responded to a call around 2:09 a.m. about a shooting on Alvin Dark Avenue, across the street from the Tiger Plaza apartment complex.<\/p>\n

L\u2019Jean McKneely, a public information officer with the Baton Rouge Police Department, said the owner of the car shot at the two men who were inside his car. McKneely added police believed the men were attempting to burglarize the car.<\/p>\n

One of the males was shot and injured during the gunfire. That man, later identified as 27-year-old Jerret Cole, was transported to the hospital. His injuries are not life-threatening, according to McKneely.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
