Trouble snowballs for man who shot himself <\/strong><\/p>\n By Pete O’Cain Cameron Jeffrey Wilson, 27, had a pistol tucked into his front pocket April 5 when the gun discharged, sending a bullet through his testicles and into his thigh, according to a probable cause affidavit filed April 16 in Chelan County Superior Court.<\/p>\n Instead of heading directly to a hospital, Wilson instructed his girlfriend to first drive to Lincoln Park in Wenatchee, where he gave the pistol to a friend, the affidavit said. A 13-time convicted felon, it is illegal for Wilson to possess a firearm.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n But wait there’s more!<\/p>\n As doctors and nurses performed surgery at Central Washington Hospital, a balloon containing marijuana slipped out of his anus, the affidavit said.<\/p>\n Chelan County sheriff\u2019s detectives were notified that Wilson had suffered a gunshot wound and then responded to the hospital. They searched the car and found a bag of methamphetamine inside a pair of blood-stained jeans he\u2019d taken off before entering the hospital.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Not done yet.<\/p>\n Detectives declined to arrest Wilson at the hospital and instead issued an arrest warrant on suspicion of second-degree felon in possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of meth. He was charged April 16.<\/p>\n Wilson, an East Wenatchee resident, turned himself in April 18. A detective told corrections officers at the Chelan County Regional Justice Center of Wilson\u2019s proclivity to store marijuana in unconventional places.<\/p>\n During a strip search, another balloon of marijuana slipped from Wilson\u2019s anus, according to a probable cause affidavit filed April 19 in superior court.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Does he have them stacked up in there like a tube magazine for a pump action shotgun?<\/p>\n He was arrested and then charged with possession of a controlled substance in a correctional facility, but his legal troubles would continue.<\/p>\n From the jail, Wilson made multiple calls to his girlfriend asking her not to cooperate with investigators, according to a probable cause affidavit filed April 26 in superior court. Authorities listened to the calls and subsequently charged him with four counts of tampering with a witness.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n 0 \/ 1 \/ 0 Hat tip to Berliner for the link.<\/p>\n Man shot by Utah homeowner in self-defense faces multiple charges By Pat Reavy Raul Rivera, 43, of Dickinson, North Dakota, was charged April 30 in Washington County’s 5th District Court with two counts of aggravated assault, a third-degree felony; threat of violence, a class A misdemeanor; drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, class B misdemeanors.<\/p>\n On April 27, two men arrived at a home in Hurricane to find Rivera in the driveway. Rivera threatened to shoot the two men and began to reach for something in his vehicle, according to charging documents. Fearing they were about to be shot, one of the men reached into his pants and took out his own weapon and shot Rivera, police say.<\/p>\n “Raul fell to the ground next to the driver side door of his vehicle. A black handled screwdriver was found laying on the ground next to where Raul was,” the charges state.<\/p>\n As detectives investigated the case, they learned that in the beginning of April, “Raul made threatening voice calls from the jail stating that he would get his ‘people’ to come up to Hurricane and kill them. It was also found that there were text messages sent to the (gunman’s) wife or daughter that are threatening in nature of bodily harm as well,” according to a search warrant affidavit.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n 0 \/ 1 \/ 0 Lexington homeowner shoots at suspect<\/strong> LEXINGTON, Ky. (WDKY) – Police are investigating an early morning shooting in Lexington.<\/p>\n It happened around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday on Chelsea Woods Court, off of Old Todds Road.<\/p>\n Police say a man showed up to a home and started banging on the front door.<\/p>\n The homeowner came out and started arguing with the suspect.<\/p>\n That’s when police say the homeowner fired several shots at the man in self-defense.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
