Resident Shoots, Kills Would-Be Robber in Northeast Dallas<\/strong> One person is dead after being shot during an attempted robbery outside a Northeast Dallas apartment complex Tuesday night, police say.<\/p>\n The shooting happened after 9 p.m. Tuesday outside Mockingbird Flats in the 5600 block of SMU Boulevard, just east of Central Expressway, according to Dallas police.<\/p>\n Police said the resident who fired the deadly shot also sustained a gunshot wound, but was in stable condition.
