\nTERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – An attempted robbery turned into a shooting at a Terre Haute apartment complex on Monday.<\/p>\n

A cab driver picked up 17-year-old Daivionne Young near Larry Bird Avenue in the downtown Terre Haute area.<\/p>\n

The shooting happened near 19th Street in the Greenwood Manor Apartment complex.<\/p>\n

According to the Terre Haute Police Department, a cab driver from First Choice Cab picked up Young in downtown Terre Haute and drove him to Greenwood Manor to drop him off.<\/p>\n

That is when Young allegedly pulled a gun on the driver and tried to rob him.<\/p>\n

Police say the cab driver pulled out a gun and shot Young.<\/p>\n

“The cab driver pulled out a gun and shot the suspect. Suspect took off. He was located by our uniform division, is in custody, he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital,” Terre Haute Police Public Information Officer Ryan Adamson said.<\/p>\n

Adamson posted on social media Young, while 17, will be charged as an adult for armed robbery.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nHOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Police say a homeowner wrestled a gun away from a home invasion suspect in a bizarre series of events.<\/p>\n

The homeowner told police that he saw the suspect entering his 13-year-old daughter’s room with a gun. The homeowner says he confronted the man and wrestled with him to get the gun. According to police, the homeowner was able to get the gun and shoot the suspect.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And then it got strange.<\/p>\n

Police say the suspect then ran downstairs, took a knife and began stabbing himself.<\/p>\n

When police arrived at the home in the North Bellaire Estates, the suspect was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

BATON ROUGE – Police say a man has died after he was shot while trying to rob a convenience store over the weekend.<\/p>\n

According to BRPD, 31-year-old Rico Clayton Jr. attempted to rob the Neighbors Food Mart on Dougherty Drive around 8 a.m. Sunday. Police said a store clerk pulled out a gun and shot Clayton, leaving him critically injured.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
