This is ridiculous.<\/p>\n
The Air Force and Army began merging prior dependent medical records with service member records in 2004. The Navy initially told Military Times that it doesn\u2019t merge records. After Military Times asked about comments from parents whose children were forced out of recruit training, officials then clarified that its medical staffers still could have access to the dependent records in the electronic system. – Article<\/p>\n
Those records were for dependents counseling services when the families\/kids were having a rough time. Now they are condemned as being unfit for duty because at age 2 and 4 and 10, they got counseling for something????<\/p>\n
What does this mean? If you get counseling for something bad that happened to you when you were a toddler, you’re unfit for military service? If you are 10 and your parents are divorcing, which can be very hard on kids, and you go to counseling with Mom or Dad, you’re doomed?<\/p>\n
I’ll tell what it means. Don’t do nuthin’ and don’t EVER tell nobody nuthin’.\u00a0 Just suck it up, Buttercup.\u00a0 Find a ceramics class for kids where you can slap and pound the clay like a madman, or find a pile of wood to chop, and suck it up, Buttercup. Get a gallon can of paint and a big brush and go paint the fence out front, and do all the cursing you like where no one can hear you, because if you actually talk to someone about what has upset you, you’re a horrible, untrustworthy person from that day forward.<\/p>\n
This is possibly The Stupidest Thing I’ve come across yet – you are permanently damned, even if your parents did the right thing when you had no say in the matter.<\/p>\n
