It seems that the Trump Administration asked for funds to pay travel and lodging expenses for the Taliban to meet with US representatives in Qatar – six rounds of talks, in fact, per the article – since last fall.<\/p>\n

Oddly, there is some objection on the part of Congress to funding the comfort of people they are now referring to as “terrorists”.<\/p>\n
