SALT LAKE CITY \u2014 One man is dead, three people are in custody and another person is being investigated after an attempted home invasion robbery turned deadly Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Just after 10 p.m., two 18-year-old men and two 17-year-old boys forced their way into a house at 245 N. Rendon Court (635 West), said Salt Lake police detective Greg Wilking. Investigators believe the group was attempting to take something, but Wilking did not know what or if anything was stolen from the house.<\/p>\n

Detectives were looking at the possibility that the home invasion was drug-related, he said.<\/p>\n

He did not know Wednesday how many people were in the house at the time.<\/p>\n

After the four males ran from the house, they got into a car to drive away. But one of the occupants of the house chased after them and fired several shots at the car as it was driving away, the detective said.<\/p>\n

The driver, Abubakar Mohammad, 18, was struck and killed, causing the car to crash near 200 North and 600 West, Wilking said. The other three occupants got out and ran. Police were able to track down the group.<\/p>\n

Jordan Ismyale-Lucas Audinette, 18, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of aggravated burglary. Two 17-year olds were booked into Salt Lake Juvenile Detention for investigation of the same charge.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Deputies: Bank employee shoots at robber during bank robbery<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nCOLUMBIA, SC (WACH) \u2013 A bank employee shot at an accused robber during a bank robbery off Farrow Road Tuesday afternoon, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.<\/p>\n

The armed robbery happened at the TD Bank at 8850 Farrow Rd. around 3:40 p.m., according to the department.<\/p>\n

Deputies say witnesses told them a man gave a note to the clerk, demanding money. The robber didn’t show a weapon, however, nor did he imply he had one at the time. <\/p>\n

Deputies then say the employee grabbed his personal gun and fired at the robber as he fled the scene. No one was reportedly injured in the shooting, however. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Columbus Police: Resident fires shots after home invasion suspect kicks in back door <\/strong><\/p>\n

\nCOLUMBUS, Ohio — Two people are in custody after a reported home invasion in the Linden area Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n

Columbus police were called around 10:15 a.m. to a home in the 1000 block of East 22nd Avenue.<\/p>\n

As officers arrived on scene, two suspects allegedly ran from the home. A foot pursuit began and one of the suspects ran down a back alley; the other kicked in the back door of another house nearby. Someone inside that home fired shots at the suspect, according to police. No one was injured.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
