Rendon Court (635 West), said Salt Lake police detective Greg Wilking. Investigators believe the group was attempting to take something, but Wilking did not know what or if anything was stolen from the house.

Detectives were looking at the possibility that the home invasion was drug-related, he said.

He did not know Wednesday how many people were in the house at the time.

After the four males ran from the house, they got into a car to drive away. But one of the occupants of the house chased after them and fired several shots at the car as it was driving away, the detective said.

The driver, Abubakar Mohammad, 18, was struck and killed, causing the car to crash near 200 North and 600 West, Wilking said. The other three occupants got out and ran. Police were able to track down the group.

Jordan Ismyale-Lucas Audinette, 18, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of aggravated burglary. Two 17-year olds were booked into Salt Lake Juvenile Detention for investigation of the same charge.

1 / 3 / 0
Presumably the one under investigation is the shooter. The robber didn’t show a weapon, however, nor did he imply he had one at the time.

Deputies then say the employee grabbed his personal gun and fired at the robber as he fled the scene. No one was reportedly injured in the shooting, however.

0 / 0 / 1
The article implies there was more than one robber, but I’ll count the one until updated. One mort, a stellar five inconvenienced, and one in the wind. Not a bad days work.

Our Founding Fathers were proud that Americans were trusted with arms because they knew that only when people are armed could they truly be thought of as free citizens. And that’s where the circle closes. Those who want to deprive you of your right to keep and bear arms are intending to deprive you of your freedom, period.
