Nonsense"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p><a href=\"https:\/\/upnorthlive.com\/news\/local\/northern-michigan-communities-combat-homelessness-among-veterans\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone \" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/f4bd76fc-c858-42c2-a693-69a22f58afcf-large16x9_Homelessness.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"712\" height=\"401\" \/><\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>With over 30,000 nonprofit veteran organizations in this country, why are there still homeless veterans on the street?<\/p>\n<p>Then answer is simple, THERE ARE NOT HOARDS OF HOMELESS VETERANS ON THE STREETS OF AMERICA.<\/p>\n<p>What veteran in this country does not understand they can walk into any VA if they are homeless and poof&#8230;they are homeless no more.<\/p>\n<p>Gullible dogooders spending fortunes on faux homelessness to make themselves look like they care is not helping anyone.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Nothern Michigan is taking part in a nationwide program to end veteran homelessness.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s called\u00a0<a class=\"themeColorForLinks\" title=\"https:\/\/www.va.gov\/HOMELESS\/ssvf\/docs\/Ending_Veterans_Homelessness_Overview.pdf\" href=\"https:\/\/www.va.gov\/HOMELESS\/ssvf\/docs\/Ending_Veterans_Homelessness_Overview.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Functional Zero<\/a>\u00a0and its goal is to find housing for every veteran in your area.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, the Northwest Michigan Community Action Agency celebrated zero homeless veterans in Wexford, Missaukee and Manistee counties.<\/p>\n<p>Local veteran groups, community services and volunteers all take part in the Functional Zero program to find housing for all veterans.<\/p>\n<p>One volunteer at the celebration calls the program life-changing.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The network goes out and they hardcore are beatin&#8217; feet on the streets, getting out there, they want to find somebody, if a veteran is homeless they want them to be aware that there is a safety network and that they are there to provide whatever needs that they can and they will get them engaged with those networks to bring everybody off the street,&#8221;
