Last year, Jonn called<\/a> for donations:<\/p>\n

“Just a warning — our $6000 annual rent comes due next month, I pay a year in advance so that I save $1200\/year. So start digging that change out from your couch cushions. I’ll be rattling my tin cup next month.” – Jonn Lilyea<\/span><\/p>\n

Once again, we’re in that part of the year where rent is coming due. The requirements, as they’ve consistently been, is $6,000 for rent, site-related expenses, maintenance, technical support, etc.<\/p>\n

You guys pulled through last year, as Jonn stated<\/a>:<\/p>\n

“I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to us this year – this is the second year in a row that our readers paid our rent.” – Jonn Lilyea<\/span><\/p>\n

Jonn passed away after the last rent came due, the balance of what was in the coffers was given to Jonn’s family. From then, it took a combination of monthly contributions and personal funds from those who inherited this site from Jonn, that kept this community going.<\/p>\n

Jonn enjoyed the fact that this site brought our community together through the years. From reading comments here, I could tell that you guys see things the same way. Here’s to helping his legacy continue to live and do what Jonn wanted it to do. Looking forward to you guys pulling through this year as you did in the last two years.<\/p>\n

I’ll be “shaking the canteen cup” again as we get closer to “due date”.<\/p>\n

Edit:<\/strong><\/span> Donation methods being worked on, in addition to other functions and quirks. There is a rapid, temporary solution, that I’ve proposed. Waiting for the “okay” signal.
