Fatal shooting at Canton liquor store ruled justified, police say<\/strong>

City prosecutors have ruled a fatal shooting at House of Spirits liquor store in Canton was justified and made in self-defense, Baltimore police announced Tuesday.<\/p>\n

When two gunmen tried to hold up the family-owned liquor store in the 2300 block of Fleet St. on Jan. 12, a cashier shot one of the would-be robbers, according to police.<\/p>\n

The suspect fled the shop and collapsed on the 500 block of Collington Ave. He was taken to an area hospital where he later died, police said.<\/p>\n

The attempted robbery was the second time in two months the shop had been held up at gunpoint, police said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

No charges for concealed carry holder who shot carjacker, Chicago police say<\/strong><\/p>\n

CHICAGO \u2014 A man who fatally shot a would-be carjacker in downtown Chicago early Friday won\u2019t be charged with any crime after police determined he acted in self-defense.<\/p>\n

Chicago police tell the Chicago Tribune that an investigation revealed the 41-year-old man was a concealed carry license holder who drew his weapon and fired only after he was confronted with an armed man trying to steal his car.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nST. LOUIS (KMOV.com)— An investigation is underway after a man allegedly shot a would-be robber at a north St. Louis building Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

Police arrived to the 1900 block of Belt at 8:10 a.m. where they found a 54-year-old man attempting to restrain a would-be robber. Officers said the man found the suspect, a 48-year-old man, burglarizing a building that he owns.<\/p>\n

A struggle ensued after the victim confronted the suspect, police say.<\/p>\n

During the struggle, the owner pulled out a gun and fired a shot, striking the fleeing suspect in the groin area. Both men were taken into custody.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

On Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at approximately 2:25 p.m., firefighters on Engine 32 from the Bay District Volunteer Fire Department were returning to their station in Lexington Park, after a kitchen fire in Great Mills.<\/p>\n

While on Great Mills Road a male in a Hyundai Sonata pulled alongside the firetruck and started yelling out his window to firefighters about the speed he perceived their truck was traveling at. The driver of the Sonata pulled in front of the fire truck and slammed on his brakes, he then came to a complete stop in the middle of the road, stopping the firetruck. The firefighters contacted dispatchers about the incident and asked for police to respond to the area.<\/p>\n

The firetruck followed the Sonata into the parking lot of the St. Mary\u2019s Square to provide dispatches an updated location for police.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
