<\/a><\/p>\nThe folks at MilitaryPhony.com<\/a> send us their work on Oscar Rodriguez<\/a>.\u00a0 Oscar has several middle initials listed – V, J and O – but most often he does not have a middle initial listed at all.\u00a0 Oscar is 60 years old as of April 2019.<\/p>\n Rodriguez has photos on his Facebook page that imply he was a Sergeant of Marines and served as a Recon Marine.<\/p>\n He also implies that he jumped out of airplanes with a dog strapped to him.<\/p>\n He also claims this is his RECON unit doing “Spy” (sic) extraction. It is actually called \u201cSPIE\u201d for Special Patrol Insertion\/Extraction (SPIE) system.<\/p>\n On his LinkedIn profile, he details his military assignments and claims 20 years of military service, which would imply a retirement…<\/p>\n Here are the two emblems above…<\/p>\n After discovering that Oscar Rodriguez was not showing up in the BUD\/S-SEAL database, his official military records were ordered through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.<\/p>\n Rodriguez was in the US Marine Corps for two years.\u00a0 He was discharged from 1st Recon Battalion which is different than the 1st Force Recon that he claimed.<\/p>\n He was a field radio operator and was most likely in a support role.\u00a0 He has no training or qualifications for the Recon MOS.\u00a0 There is a possibility that he may have been part of the SPIE exercise above since he was in the unit, but this would be hard to prove or disprove.<\/p>\n He was discharged as a Lance Corporal (E-3) vs. the implied Sgt (E-5) in the one Facebook photo.<\/p>\n There were no Navy records on him so the SEAL Team III claim is doubtful.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a> <\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
