A young man gets into a bitter divorce. As a result, he has to move in with his parents. Due to the circumstances, he had an arrangement where he “paid rent” via doing work and chores around the house.<\/p>\n

That lasted for about 10 months. After a domestic dispute situation, the son is asked to leave the home. He moves to a new location while leaving some of his items at his parents’ home. His parents bring his belongings to him, but the son notices something missing.<\/p>\n

He wondered where his pornography was at. His father informed him that he found the son’s 12 boxes of pornography and one box of sex toys. As soon as the father found them, he started the destruction process. Now, the son is angry and is suing his parents for damages.<\/p>\n

From Fox 17 West Michigan:<\/span><\/p>\n

18. The e-mail continued: “We counted twelve moving boxes full of pornography plus two boxes of “sex toys” as you call them. We began that day the process of destroying them and it took quite a while to do so.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

His father did warn him. In one of the emails, he reminded his son of the time the later was kicked out of both high school and college for selling pornography. The father also warned the son that if he found any more pornography in his home, he would destroy it.<\/p>\n

The father provided another justification:<\/p>\n

Believe it or not, one reason for why I destroyed your porn was for your own mental and emotional health. I would have done the same if I found a kilo of crack cocaine. Someday, I hope you will understand.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The son is suing for $86,822.16 in damages. The son had a bitter divorce, got kicked out of high school, got kicked out of college, and got kicked out of his parents’ home after 10 months. Then we have the father’s justification and the son’s accusation that the father was being vindictive. Porn is common with some of these incidents, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was common in most or all of these instances.<\/p>\n
