The Democrat House isn&#8217;t too happy about this, they didn&#8217;t want the military to move funds around in order to contribute to border wall construction.<\/p>\n<p>However, Congress previously authorized the military to transfer up to $4 billion from what the appropriations were originally intended for&#8230; To what the military needs to spend it on.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">From Task &amp; Purpose:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;These funds will be used to support [the Homeland Security Department&#8217;s] request to build 57 miles of 18-foot-high pedestrian fencing, constructing and improving roads, and installing lighting within the Yuma and El Paso Sectors of the border,&#8221; the Defense Department announced at the time.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">And:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Per Tuesday&#8217;s announcement, SLSCO Ltd. out of Galveston, Texas, received a $789 million contract, and is expected to finish their portion of border wall construction in Santa Teresa, New Mexico, by October 1, 2020. Barnard Construction Co. Inc. in Bozeman, Montana, received $187 million, and will be building &#8220;primary pedestrian wall replacement&#8221; in Yuma, Arizona. The expected completion date is Sept. 30, 2020.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>President Trump did give Congress an opportunity to provide him what he needed to enhance our border security. There&#8217;s a good chance that he already knew that he had this option. But, it was better to get Congress, specifically the Democrats, to play their hand.<\/p>\n<p>Result? They&#8217;re in full view as working against what&#8217;s needed to stem the flow of human trafficking, and drugs, across our border.
