If Minnesota Democrats get their way, illegal aliens living in Minnesota would be able to get driver’s licenses. The Democrat controlled Minnesota House passed a bill that would make this a reality. It’s on its way to Minnesota’s Senate, where the Democrats are in the minority.<\/p>\n

According to Fox News:<\/span><\/p>\n

GOP state Sen. Bill Ingebrigtsen said the bill would “undermine our current values.”<\/p>\n

“Minnesota shouldn’t be in the business of incentivizing illegal behavior, and by allowing illegal and undocumented immigrants access to driver’s licenses, that’s exactly what our state would be doing,” he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

One of the arguments that this bill’s supporters advance is that it would make the roads “safer”. Illegal aliens are in the country illegally, haven broken our laws because they saw a benefit in breaking our immigration laws.<\/p>\n

What’s stopping these folk from breaking traffic laws while driving if they saw a benefit to breaking a traffic law? It’s not going to change their driving habits. Chances are that illegals that break traffic laws now won’t let a driver’s license stop them from breaking a traffic law later.<\/p>\n

This energy should’ve been spent in reviewing if laws were needed that would facilitate assisting the federal government enforce immigration laws.<\/p>\n
