Emotional support animals are everywhere and it\u2019s easy to get a certificate for one. People can go online and pay $20 for bogus service dog vests, certificates and the list goes on. Shortly after, a package will most likely arrive in the mail.<\/p>\n

With the sudden increase of emotional support animals, it\u2019s wreaking havoc on people who legitimately rely on their dogs to help them navigate life.<\/p>\n

On a recent trip to the VA Medical Center in Riviera Beach, Vietnam veteran Michael Lewandoski claims he was harassed by a guard because of his service dog. He says the guard questioned him about his 8-year-old service dog, Anna. She\u2019s a seven-pound dog who\u2019s adapted to Lewandowski\u2019s needs for the past four years.<\/p>\n

Paul Mueller is the reporter that aired this story and he does not seem to understand that U.S. Animal Services are considered a source of bogus “Service Dog” claims by many of us.\u00a0 They are one of the places that you simply fill out a form and pay a fee to get a certificate for your dog.<\/p>\n

Michael Lewandoski should probably leave his puppy at home.\u00a0 There is a video at the link below.<\/p>\n

Michael Lewandoski is part of the problem in my opinion.\u00a0 So is Paul Mueller and U.S. Animal Services.\u00a0 I believe its these kinds of people that cause horrible stereotypes about veterans and PTSD to be perpetuated.\u00a0 My opinion is Michael Lewandoski is a clown and a disgrace to those that actually do suffer from PTSD.\u00a0 To me, he seems to be little more than a professional victim.\u00a0 I do not believe his dog is a legitimately trained “Service Dog” and it should not be treated as such just because little Mikey has hurt feelings about it.<\/p>\n

Shame on all of them.
