Josephine County District Attorney Ryan Mulkins has found a man justified in his use of deadly force from the incident.

The investigation into the death of Richard O’Coyne, 46, indicated that he was driving a Ford Expedition with an adult male passenger on the day of the shooting, November 2, 2018. According to the Josephine County District Attorney’s Office report, Ocoyne drove to R-Hogg-Farm motorcycle shop in Cave Junction that Friday morning. Once there, he fired a gun from inside his car at the front door of the motorcycle shop. The bullet went through the door, striking a glass case inside and traveling all the way toward the back of the shop.

O’Coyne then drove to the home of Christopher Lorne at 162 Kenrose Lane in Cave Junction, arriving just after 7:30 that morning. He parked his SUV approximately 10 to 15 feet from the front window of the home, where Lorne was asleep inside. After parking, O’Coyne fired two shots with an M-15 rifle towards the residence.

1/ 0 / 0
Read the rest of the article here: KTVL

Jackson firefighter shoots at attempted robber; suspect still on the run

By Josh Carter
JACKSON, MS (WLBT) – A possible attempted robbery resulted in an exchange of gunfire on Oakhill Dr. in Jackson Wednesday afternoon.

A JFD District Chief confirms that the victim was a Jackson firefighter.

Police say that shots were fired after the suspect tried to rob the firefighter.

The firefighter was not injured. It took about 10 minutes for the police to arrive. And the last thing I wanted to do was have to use deadly force.”

The incident happened shortly before noon on Saturday in Pitt County. Thomas posted a video of the encounter to his Facebook page.

The video shows Thomas pointing the shotgun at his locked bedroom door and warning the men, who had been knocking, “If you open that door, there’s going to be some problems, man.”

No shots were fired and no one was injured.

Thomas said he saw the men run out the front door shortly before Greenville police arrived. He estimated there were four or five people in the townhome.

Thomas, who lives in Raeford, said he rents the second floor of a three-story townhome in the University Suites residential complex in Greenville. It’s a place to stay when he visits Greenville for his job and to see his 9-year-old son who lives in the city. Allen Thomas Jr. of Raeford is not be confused with Allen M. Thomas, the former mayor of Greenville who now is running for Congress.

0 / 0 / 4
The rest of the story may be reviewed here: Fayette-Nam Observer

Been a very long week, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes.
