Pizza shop employee shoots suspected robber<\/strong><\/p>\n By Matthew Reisen Justin Brewer, 27, was released from the hospital and booked into the Metropolitan Detention Center on Monday on one count of armed robbery with a deadly weapon.<\/p>\n According to a criminal complaint filed in Metropolitan Court, Brewer had just held up the store and was fleeing through the parking lot when the employee, still wearing his apron, came outside and shot him. Brewer was taken from the scene by an unidentified man and dropped off outside a Motel 6 near the Big I soon after.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n 0 \/ 1 \/ 0 Man Charged With Domestic Battery After Woman Shoots Him in Self-Defense<\/strong> Felony charges were filed against a man accused of attacking a woman Sunday morning before she shot him in self-defense at a South Loop apartment building.<\/p>\n Brandon Williams, 30, is charged with one felony count each of aggravated domestic battery, aggravated domestic battery involving choking and possession of a weapon by a felon, according to Chicago police. He lives in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.<\/p>\n Williams started attacking the woman during an argument at 10:54 a.m. in an apartment in the 1000 block of South Clark Street, police said.
