Prescott Police officers were called to a house in the 600 block of La Paloma Lane after a report of a home being burglarized, while the homeowner was home. When officers arrived the victim told them her husband, 27-year-old Ryan Welch, tried to force his way into the home. When Welch got inside, 32-year-old Kyle Fox from Prescott Valley, opened fire on him with a handgun. Fox said Welch fled from the scene after he was shot.
