Fatal stabbing ruled self-defense<\/strong><\/p>\n From Staff Reports The death of Lamont Junior Parker, 37, of Rocky Mount was the result of self-defense, the department reported in a news release issued Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n Parker was stabbed shortly before 6 p.m. at 1105-A Chestnut St. in Greenville, the department reported at the time.<\/p>\n Responding officers found Parker suffering from wounds when they arrived. Parker was transported to Vidant Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.<\/p>\n The release said it appears Parker was attending the gathering when a dispute erupted. He remains in the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center without bond on charges of kidnapping and aggravated assault.<\/p>\n A release states that Jefferson had given the victim, described as his domestic partner, a ride to a bank. But the two got into an argument, and Jefferson allegedly used a shock device on the woman and bound her hands with zip ties.<\/p>\n She was able to escape him not long after. However, he shocked her again and tightened the ties, reads the release.<\/p>\n Jefferson then drove toward Campti and to La.
