Well, he’s in the news again<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Edward Liroff, 47, of\u00a0the 1900 block of Southwest Michelangelo Avenue, was sentenced Thursday in federal court, according to a U.S. Justice Department release. In November, Liroff\u00a0pleaded guilty at the St. Lucie County Courthouse to theft of government property and making false claims of military accomplishments.<\/p>\n

The investigation began March 8, when Liroff submitted applications for two jobs with the city of Port St. Lucie, the Justice Department said.\u00a0During the application process, a city official said\u00a0Liroff produced a DD214, a form used to\u00a0verify past military service for benefits, retirement, employment\u00a0and membership in veterans\u00a0organizations.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
