Bennette; Stolen Valor Baby Sitter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/bennet.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-84497\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/bennet.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"180\" height=\"224\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"speakable-p-1 p-text\">A Brick man is facing a slew of forgery and other charges after police say he passed out fake military documents to dupe parents into trusting them with their children \u2014\u00a0and he was already facing similar charges in another Jersey Shore town.<\/p>\n<p class=\"speakable-p-2 p-text\">Lance Daniel Bennette, 22, is facing three counts of forgery and one each of identity theft, tampering with public records and stolen valor after his arrest Jan. 18, according to a statement from police Capt. Robert Lokerson.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p-text\">Bennett \u201cused forged and fictitious documents that purported to be the act of (U.S.) military officials, who did not authorize or have any knowledge of these documents,\u201d Lokerson wrote. \u201cThese documents were distributed to a few Point Pleasant residents as Mr. Bennette was soliciting to perform child care for these residents.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/bennet2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-84498\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/bennet2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"799\" height=\"728\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/bennet2.png 799w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/bennet2-300x273.png 300w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/bennet2-768x700.png 768w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/bennet2-365x333.png 365w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 799px) 100vw, 799px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"p-text\">\u201cThe documents indicated that Mr. Bennette was currently in the military and was required to complete family care hours as a requirement of this military program,\u201d Lokerson wrote. \u201cIt is alleged that Mr. Bennette used these fraudulent documents with purpose to instill trust with the local parents so that he could be considered to care for their children.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p-text\">Bennette already was facing charges of allegedly having improper firearms identification in both Brick and Hamilton and of illegal impersonation in Toms River, according to court records. In yet another case in Mantoloking, he is facing three more counts of forgery, another count of impersonating a member of the military and one count of hindering by giving false information. All of those charges were filed in February or March of 2018.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>I don&#8217;t remember doing any &#8220;family care hours&#8221;.\u00a0 Barracks restriction I understand, Field Day I understand and of course Office Hours I knew well.\u00a0 When I did have kids of my own nobody said anything about extra credit for\u00a0 &#8220;family care hours&#8221;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Brick man is facing a slew of forgery and other charges after police say he &hellip; <a title=\"Lance D.
