It\u2019s a long and sordid history I have to report.\u00a0 However, in an attempt to be brief and not bore you to death, there was a Liberal movement in England in the 19th<\/sup> century called Disestablishmentarianism, an attempt by Liberals to remove the Church of England, a\/k\/a the Anglican Episcopal Church, from its long-held position as the official Church of England.<\/p>\n If we do not have the same sort of thing going on now in Washington, DC, with alleged Liberals lining up to unseat Pres. Trump, who is<\/em> the established and duly-elected President of the United States, then I\u2019m a Hostess cupcake.<\/p>\n Antidisestablishmentarianism is a political movement that developed in 19th-century Britain in opposition to Disestablishmentarianism. It successfully opposed the Liberal Party’s efforts to disestablish or remove the Church of England as the official state church of England, Ireland, and Wales.<\/p>\n Take into consideration that the Episcopal Church of England came into being under Henry VIII, in his stated intentions to break with the Church of Rome as the governing body which set itself in a position superior to all of Europe\u2019s countries and citizens, subjugating them all to its laws and demanding taxes of them. He thus placed himself in the position of heretic and was officially damned by Rome.<\/p>\n However, being the independent Welshman and Englishman that he was, his attitude was that England was for the English, and English laws came first, with all other laws secondary to English law. In addition, the taxes sent to Rome by English monasteries and churches, as well as taxes collected by the English government, represented money that he stated should be kept in England, not sent to some foreign government. Does this sound familiar?<\/p>\n The first attempt to break away from the Church of Rome occurred when King John signed the Magna Carta at Runnymede, at the demand of the Barons he ruled. It was condemned by the Church of Rome as heresy, and later annulled by Papal Bull, an edict declaring such an independent act to be illegal in the eyes of the Church of Rome. It gave the Barons rights that included a fair trial when accused of a crime, among other things.<\/p>\n The Magna Carta was the basis for William Penn\u2019s statutes giving specific rights to the colonists he persuaded to move to the New World, created when he wrote the charter for the Colony of Penn\u2019s Woods, more commonly known as Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n Under Henry VIII, the bankruptcy continued with his divorces, deceased wives, and bad management. His politics included having the Holy Bible translated from Latin into the vulgate, or English language. He was quite desperate to get a son. His daughter Mary Tudor, a\/k\/a Bloody Mary, assumed the throne on his death and proceeded to re-establish England\u2019s ties with Rome by executing over 300 people whom she deemed heretics for the sin of translating the Bible into English.<\/p>\n She died without producing an heir, and the throne went to her half-sister Elizabeth, who re-established the Church of England as England’s official Church and brought the country out of bankruptcy into a powerful and prosperous nation. She knew enough about management to get out of the way of the rising middle class. Prosperity ensued, and despite attempts by France and Spain to recapture England, the country remained independent. Mary\u2019s attempts to destroy England as an established, independent nation ended with her death.<\/p>\n We have that self-same struggle to going on now, with Liberals here doing everything they can think of to destroy the Establishment, to unseat a duly-elected President, and to have their own way.\u00a0\u00a0It is well past the time they were given a collective polysyllabic noun that is not only impressive when pronounced, but is, in this case, politically specific enough, but with enough general meaning, to cover the entire group of Liberals of all sorts, sizes and color schemes.<\/p>\n So let\u2019s call them what they really are: Disestablishmentarians.<\/p>\n That covers a vast spectrum of everything from nutballs in video stores, rude waitresses who don\u2019t like hats, idiotically blind ecohippies, and pussyhat-wearing SJWs to established left-learning opportunists who get themselves elected to office on amorphous promises similar to \u2018we\u2019ll give you cake to eat\u2019.<\/p>\n For those of us who do not fit anywhere in that strange m\u00e9lange of Liberalism, our collective name is, and shall be Antidisestablishmentarians, conservatives of all shapes, groups, and taste in clothing, who oppose these attempts to destroy our government, our liberty, our traditions, and our country. This may also include those more moderate Democrats or quasi-Liberals who find themselves teetering on the fence between over-the-top Liberals – the Disestablishmentarians – and the rest of us who just want peace and quiet and a chance to get on with our lives.<\/p>\n Traditions that we hold important, that give us a sense of self as Americans, are being trod upon as if they have no meaning. If we protest, we\u2019re the bad guys. Any Disestablishmentarian will look for any means possible to break the ties that bind people together, by deriding them, denigrating them, and finally, attempting to\u00a0 make them illegal, as if doing so will change our minds and make us cave in.<\/p>\n Therefore, as Antidisestablishmentarians, we can rightfully and politely tell them to go pound sand up their bums. Wave flags when they are present. Wear t-shirts or hats with Antidisestablishmentarian printed or embroidered on them.<\/p>\n We have the capacity to embrace and welcome the undecided and waffling semi-Liberal soul who is looking for a place to land, in the hope that tomorrow will be a better day. We owe it to them to give them refuge, just as Elizabeth I welcomed all Englishmen without distinguishing between the tinker and the tailor, the courtier and the glovemaker, or the tinsmith and the blacksmith. They were all English to her, and England came first.<\/p>\n So let it be with Antidisestablishmentarians. We are all Americans and America comes first.<\/p>\n The nice thing about this is that the bulk of Disestablishmentarians are so barely literate that they probably won\u2019t be able to spell or pronounce what we are: Antidisestablishmentarians. It is the polar opposite of what they represent.<\/p>\n They are the Dis-Ees, while we are the AntiDis-Ees.<\/p>\n Say it loud and say it proud.
