Another case of poor victim selection skills.<\/span> By: Megan Carroll, Taylor Viydo KCSO deputies responded to a 911 call of a shooting inside a residence in the 900 block of S. Spokane Street near Post Falls. When deputies arrived, they found Mitchell Payette, 24, dead inside the home from what appeared to be gunshot wounds, officials said.<\/p>\n Authorities said a man and a woman were sleeping inside the residence and were awakened by loud crashing noises coming from inside their home. The man discovered an intruder had forced his way into the home through a door and was damaging property, deputies said.<\/p>\n After asking the intruder \u2013 who also appeared to be armed \u2013 to leave, the male resident fired several rounds from a handgun, according to the sheriff’s office.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n The rest of the article may be viewed here: KREM 2<\/a> Road rage is for losers. Like him.<\/span> NEWTON \u2014 A Hickory man will not face charges after shooting a Connelly Springs man during a roadside confrontation, according to a release from District Attorney David Learner\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n Joseph Mark Harrison, 58, shot Joshua Max Barnes, 21, after Barnes reportedly punched him several times on Oct. 4.<\/p>\n Harrison pulled his vehicle over on Main Street in Valdese to give Barnes room to drive by him, according to the release. Previously, Barnes was driving close behind Harrison on U.S. 70.<\/p>\n Witnesses said that Barnes went to the driver\u2019s side of Harrison\u2019s car and started punching him, according to the release.
