According to the folks over at militaryphony.com<\/a> this Edward Stewart guy was never a Navy SEAL.<\/p>\n

For some reason, people around Ed believe he was a Navy SEAL. He participates in many community events and is introduced as such. Below, Ed is being introduced as the annual race director by\u00a0Joggin\u2019 for Frogmen<\/a><\/strong>, an organization that honors the Navy Special Warfare community.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Ed had some bad experiences because of his service.<\/p>\n

With all that stuff and more posted publicly on this interwebnet thingy, I can understand where people are getting the idea Ed is a well decorated Navy SEAL.<\/p>\n

Looks like MP ordered his records via a Freedom of Information Act request.<\/p>\n

According to those records he was not a Navy SEAL and spent most of his time in the Navy Reserves.\u00a0 Looks like he skyrocketed to E-3 and I am not sure if he even managed to get a rate in the Navy.\u00a0 Being an SN is just a few ranks below a LCDR.\u00a0 He may have been in the territorial waters of Vietnam during 1971, but it appears the Navy has no idea that he was wounded or that he was awarded a Bronze Star.\u00a0 I checked with the Navy Special Warfare database and there is no record of this guy graduating in BUD\/s class 61 or any other class for that matter.<\/p>\n
