She opened her front door on the second floor to investigate and encountered a 22-year-old man who had an active order of protection forbidding him to go near that address.<\/p>\n After an argument, she shot him in the left shoulder, police said. He was pronounced dead at University of Chicago Medical Center at 12:10 a.m. Sunday.<\/p>\n The Cook County medical examiner\u2019s office identified him as Daniel L.
