(WCTV) — Moultrie Police are investigating an attempted robbery-turned-deadly at the Susie Q on Highway 319 Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n Some in the Baell Trace Court neighborhood said they heard the gunfire.<\/p>\n “We live in a good neighborhood and just hearing a gunshot that late at night you knew something was wrong,” said one concerned homeowner, who requested to talk off camera.<\/p>\n She says it’s a popular gas station her family visits often.<\/p>\n “I’m just glad none of my family was up there,” said the homeowner.<\/p>\n Moultrie Police say two armed suspects entered the store around 2 a.m. One was shot multiple times.<\/p>\n They say the 19-year-old suspect, Jaelon Powell, suffered multiple gunshot wounds. About an hour after he was admitted to a local hospital, he died from his injuries.<\/p>\n “Unfortunately, Mr. Powell lost his life as a result of trying to commit an armed robbery,” said Lt. Freddie Williams with the Moultrie Police Department.<\/p>\n One of two clerks was shot in the leg, but was released from the hospital late Tuesday.<\/p>\n Police say a second gunman, 18-year-old Joshua Sims, and a teenager have been arrested. They’re now facing felony murder for their involvement in Powell’s death.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Read the entire article here at WCTV<\/a><\/p>\n Good guy with a gun.<\/span> A robbery suspect was shot by a security guard early Thursday morning on the Westside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.<\/p>\n JSO said they got the call about the shooting at 12:08 a.m. at Cyber Spot, an internet cafe located at 7900 103rd St.<\/p>\n When police arrived, they learned that a robbery suspect was shot by a security guard after he pepper sprayed the guard and tried to rob the business, police said. The suspect was transported to the hospital with serious injuries and had surgery.<\/p>\n Witnesses told police there was a second suspect involved.
