\nGeorgia Homeowner Shoots Man Trying to Break Into His Car<\/strong>

\nOne man from Mableton, Georgia, woke up to an alarm on his smartphone informing him outside surveillance cameras had picked up movement in the driveway. It turned out to be a robber breaking into the man\u2019s car.
\nThe homeowner got out and ended up shooting the alleged robber, WSB-TV reports. Police are now investigating to determine whether the shooting was justified, but in his neighbors\u2019 eyes, he did the right thing.<\/p>\n

\u201cCobb County police confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that a man was in the process of breaking into a pickup truck when the homeowner came out and confronted him. During the confrontation, the homeowner shot the suspect at least once below the waist, police said,\u201d the report says.<\/p>\n

The suspect was taken to the hospital, where he\u2019s being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The identity of neither man has been made public, because of the ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n

Be that as it may, the man\u2019s neighbors believe he acted appropriately, telling the media outlet that they would probably have done the same. As one woman puts it, they worked hard for the things they had and they didn\u2019t want other people to come over and just take them without putting up a fight.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think he did the right thing. I truly do. I probably would\u2019ve done the same thing,\u201d neighbor Sheila Tolbert also says. \u201cHe\u2019s trying to protect his home and his vehicle. And if that\u2019s what you have to do, then that\u2019s what you have to do.\u201d<\/p>\n
