{"id":82869,"date":"2018-11-14T10:15:34","date_gmt":"2018-11-14T14:15:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=82869"},"modified":"2018-11-14T09:51:22","modified_gmt":"2018-11-14T13:51:22","slug":"army-releases-deploy-or-out-rules-for-administratively-sidelined-troops","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=82869","title":{"rendered":"Army Releases Deploy-or-Out Rules for Administratively Sidelined Troops"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-82301 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/28th-eod-company-1800-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"341\" height=\"227\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/28th-eod-company-1800-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/28th-eod-company-1800-500x333.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/28th-eod-company-1800.jpg 621w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 341px) 100vw, 341px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>13 Nov 2018 &#8211;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/Military.com\">Military.com<\/a>\u00a0|\u00a0By\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.military.com\/author\/matthew-cox\">Matthew Cox<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The U.S.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.military.com\/army\">Army<\/a>\u00a0today publicly released its new policy for dealing with soldiers who are non-<a href=\"https:\/\/www.military.com\/deployment\">deployable<\/a>\u00a0for administrative reasons, just over a month after the Pentagon&#8217;s new deploy-or-out policy took effect Oct. 1.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Soldiers who are non-deployable for an administrative reason &#8230; for more than six consecutive months, or six non-consecutive months in a 12-month period, will be processed for administrative separation,&#8221; according to the new policy dated Nov. 8.<\/p>\n<p>The Army has finally defined in writing what it takes to be deployable: From the article:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo be considered deployable, a soldier in the active,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.military.com\/national-guard\">National Guard<\/a>\u00a0and Reserve must be:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Administratively, legally and medically cleared for employment in any environment in which the Army is operating or could operate.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Able to operate in austere areas or areas that regularly experience significant environmental conditions such as heat, cold or altitude that could exacerbate medical conditions.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Able to carry and employ an assigned weapon.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Capable of executing individual warrior tasks for his or her assigned mission.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Able to operate while wearing body armor, helmet, eye protection, gloves and chemical or biological protective equipment.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Capable of passing the Army physical fitness test or meeting the physical demands or tasks required for a specific\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.military.com\/deployment\">deployment<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Looks like you\u2019d better put down that bottle of 33 Beer.
