Charles Clymer, a transgender man now known as Charlotte, has filed a formal discrimination complaint with the D.C. Office of Human Rights after a Washington restaurant asked him to show his ID before entering a woman\u2019s bathroom. According to the attendant, the women\u2019s bathrooms were reserved for\u2013 you got it, women.<\/p>\n

Clymer said he was then asked to leave the restaurant after insisting on his right to use the female restroom. The police were eventually called and reportedly said the law was on Clymer\u2019s side.<\/p>\n

After the incident, Clymer took to Twitter stating, \u201cLast night, I was told by the manager of @CubaLibreDC that I couldn\u2019t use the women\u2019s restroom, and after challenging his discrimination with D.C. law and responding to his threat of calling the police w\/ \u2018please do so\u2019, I was forcibly removed from the restaurant.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last night, I was told by the manager of\u00a0@CubaLibreDC<\/a>\u00a0that I couldn\u2019t use the women\u2019s restroom, and after challenging his discrimination with D.C. law and responding to his threat of calling the police w\/ \u201cplease do so\u201d, I was forcibly removed from the restaurant.
