But at the age of 63, he\u2019s now done something he\u2019s never done before \u2014 compete as a man for the first time in what\u2019s billed as the world\u2019s only transgender bodybuilding competition.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mco-body-item mco-body-type-text\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">Bennett and seven fellow competitors went before a crowd Saturday evening in the annual\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/iatb.info\/bodybuilding\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">International Association of Trans Bodybuilders\u00a0<\/a>competition at a theater in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.atlanta.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Atlanta<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mco-body-item mco-body-type-text\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">The competition has attracted bodybuilders from across the country and even Russia since it began in 2014, according to executive director and head judge\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/buckymotter.com\/bodybuilding\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bucky Motter<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mco-body-item mco-body-type-text\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">Competitors were judged in the categories of lightweight, middleweight, heavyweight and masters, for age 60 and over, according to five disciplines: mass, definition, proportion, symmetry and stage presence.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mco-body-item mco-body-type-text\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">Bennett had the most experience of those on stage, and saw his role as more coach than competitor, helping others practice their poses backstage.
