{"id":81944,"date":"2018-09-23T06:22:25","date_gmt":"2018-09-23T10:22:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=81944"},"modified":"2022-01-13T20:33:36","modified_gmt":"2022-01-14T01:33:36","slug":"sunday-morning-feel-good-stories-174","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=81944","title":{"rendered":"Sunday morning  feel good stories"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.abc15.com\/news\/crime\/pd-man-with-gun-stops-brass-knuckle-attack-in-peoria\">PEORIA, AZ<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A man discharged his gun into the ground to scare off a man with a knife and brass knuckles in Peoria.\u00a0\u00a0Peoria police report that on September 13 they were called to an apartment complex near 82rd Avenue and Bell Road.<\/p>\n<p>Witnesses say a man, identified as 28-year-old David Rubio, attacked three people by pushing them, pulling their hair, or punching them.\u00a0\u00a0While hitting the last victim, Rubio allegedly pulled out a knife and brass knuckles and again advanced on the victim.<\/p>\n<p>The victim pulled out a handgun and fired one shot into the ground, causing Rubio to run away.\u00a0\u00a0He was later located, arrested, and charged with aggravated assault.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>From <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easternnewmexiconews.com\/story\/2018\/09\/22\/news\/man-claims-self-defense-in-motel-shooting\/159256.html\">Clovis, NM<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A Texas man says he shot a would-be mugger who came at him with a knife early Friday morning outside a Clovis motel.<\/p>\n<p>Zion Flores, 20, of Mission, Texas, said he was in his car about 8:15 a.m. when two men came toward him, one slashing his tire with a knife. Flores said he responded by pulling a gun and firing in self-defense.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI seen them coming to the window, I just lowered the (car) window, and \u2018Pop, pop, pop,\u2019\u201d Flores said.\u00a0\u00a0Clovis police said a 40-year-old man was hospitalized with gunshot wounds to his buttocks. He was in stable condition at a Lubbock hospital on Friday afternoon.\u00a0\u00a0Police and prosecutors said no arrests had been made Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey (police) want to complete their investigation to determine if it was self defense,\u201d said Assistant District Attorney Jake Boazman.\u00a0\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s not in dispute who did the shooting.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Flores said the second man ran from the scene at the Travel Lodge motel after he shot the first one \u201cin the ass.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Police Capt.
