{"id":81222,"date":"2018-08-18T09:13:45","date_gmt":"2018-08-18T13:13:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=81222"},"modified":"2018-08-18T10:55:30","modified_gmt":"2018-08-18T14:55:30","slug":"coast-guard-for-the-save","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=81222","title":{"rendered":"Coast Guard for the Save"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/coasties-e1534597289442.jpg\" alt=\"coast guard\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.navytimes.com\/news\/your-navy\/2018\/08\/17\/coast-guard-saves-boaters-clinging-to-hull\/\">The Navy Times<\/a> reports the Coast Guard rescued three boaters found clinging to the hull of their capsized 24-foot vessel off  Texas. <\/p>\n<p>All three men were unharmed in Monday afternoon\u2019s incident shortly after leaving Galveston.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Officials received a mayday call from a man saying his recreational boat was taking on water near the Galveston jetties.<\/p>\n<p>Petty Officer Edward Wargo in Houston says Coast Guard personnel arrived and provided life jackets to the boaters, plus a line to the capsized vessel.<\/p>\n<p>All three men were transferred to the Coast Guard vessel and transported to shore.<\/p>\n<p>Officials aren\u2019t sure why the boat began sinking. Wargo says the partly submerged boat was anchored Tuesday and a salvage company was expected to remove the vessel.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So much fail on the part of the boaters; these guys were lucky the Coast Guard was nearby to provide assistance. No life jackets aboard, and one wonders how the emergency was called in- I&#8217;m betting a cell phone. Well maintained vessels don&#8217;t just take on water, either.
