\u00a0A man was shot with his own gun Saturday when a man he allegedly tried to rob\u00a0wrestled the\u00a0gun away from him on Detroit’s west side.<\/p>\n

Police said the victim, a 29-year-old man, was sitting in his vehicle with his family in front of a home in the 5000 block of Pacific Avenue when a man approached him and announced a holdup about 11:15 p.m. The victim wrestled the gun away from the man trying to rob him. During the confrontation, the attempted robber was shot in the buttocks, police said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

From Pleasantville, CA<\/a><\/p>\n

An intruder who boldly walked into a home in Pleasantville and attempted to rob the family was shot dead with his own weapon on Monday.\u00a0\u00a0The homeowner, Marlon Williams, was also wounded and remains in stable condition at the San Fernando General Hospital.\u00a0\u00a0Police said the man who is yet to be identified entered the house located at Ixora Lane at around 5.30pm.<\/p>\n

Williams\u2019 mother, Carol Williams, was sitting in the living room. \u201cThe man walked into the house, passed Carol and went into a back room. I don\u2019t think he knew Marlon was in the bedroom. He pulled the gun on Marlon and asked for money and jewellery. But Marlon resisted and there was a struggle,\u201d a neighbour said.\u00a0\u00a0Police said Williams, 29, overpowered the gunman and they both fell to the ground. Three shots were fired in the struggle.\u00a0\u00a0Police said Williams was grazed in the head with a bullet.<\/p>\n

The intruder was shot in the abdomen and chest. He died in the family\u2019s bedroom.\u00a0\u00a0Williams was taken to hospital in an ambulance.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
