{"id":80823,"date":"2018-07-27T09:45:37","date_gmt":"2018-07-27T13:45:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=80823"},"modified":"2022-01-13T20:34:52","modified_gmt":"2022-01-14T01:34:52","slug":"marines-scavenging-old-parts-to-finish-their-new-joint-light-tactical-vehicle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=80823","title":{"rendered":"Marines scavenging old parts to finish their new Joint Light Tactical Vehicle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am always shocked that this kind of thing is considered news.\u00a0 As one Air Force General once said, &#8220;If its not broken, stolen, or leaking hydraulic fluid Marines won&#8217;t use it&#8221;.\u00a0 \u00a0 According to Military Times:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.military.com\/marine-corps\">Marine Corps<\/a>&#8216; long-awaited\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.military.com\/equipment\/joint-light-tactical-vehicle-jltv\">Joint Light Tactical Vehicle<\/a>\u00a0is expected to start hitting the fleet next year, but not all of its parts will be fresh off the assembly line.<\/p>\n<p>A harvesting effort is underway to salvage\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.military.com\/equipment\/high-mobility-multipurpose-wheeled-vehicle-hmmwv\">Humvee<\/a>\u00a0parts that can be fitted onto the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.military.com\/equipment\/joint-light-tactical-vehicle-jltv\">JLTV<\/a>.
