{"id":80705,"date":"2018-07-21T13:38:24","date_gmt":"2018-07-21T17:38:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=80705"},"modified":"2018-07-21T13:38:24","modified_gmt":"2018-07-21T17:38:24","slug":"navy-commander-adolph-garza-busted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=80705","title":{"rendered":"Navy Commander Adolph Garza busted"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stripes.com\/news\/us\/san-diego-navy-commander-pleads-guilty-to-dark-web-drug-charge-1.538859\">Stars &#038; Stripes<\/a>, US Navy Commander Adolph Garza pleaded guilty in a San Diego federal courtroom yesterday to charges that he had bought drugs over the dark web;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p> The San Diego resident admitted using the dark web to make multiple purchases of ecstasy, ketamine, cocaine, amphetamine and other controlled substances over an 18-month period from August 2016 to March of this year.<\/p>\n<p>Garza was arrested during a March 7 raid at his Hillcrest condo, according to Sherri Walker Hobson, an assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of California.<\/p>\n<p>While serving the search warrant at Garza\u2019s residence, inspectors from the U.S. Postal Service and special agents from Homeland Security Investigations and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service seized ecstasy, cocaine, ketamine, amphetamine and other controlled substances. They also discovered sealers, packaging and mailing materials, including DVD cases that were used to conceal what was being shipped.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Postal inspectors discovered the illicit shipments.<\/p>\n<p>From the <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofsandiego.com\/military\/2018\/07\/20\/san-diego-navy-commander-admits-using-dark-web-to-buy-sell-illegal-drugs\/\">Times of San Diego<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>According to his plea agreement, Garza, a 23-year Navy veteran, used multiple dark web market places to order controlled substances for distribution in San Diego and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>Garza admitted that on at least 15 occasions, the drugs he ordered were the same ones seized by U.S. Customs and Border Protection at airports in San Francisco, New York and Chicago; and by U.S. Postal Inspectors and Homeland Security Investigations agents in San Diego.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>From the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sandiegouniontribune.com\/news\/courts\/sd-me-commander-plea-20180720-story.html\">San Diego Tribune<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Garza is set to be sentenced by U.S. District Judge Cynthia Bashant.
