Stars & Stripes<\/a> tells the actual story;<\/p>\n \u201cAn airman and his wife had left their car there after having drinks the night prior and didn\u2019t want to be irresponsible,\u201d [Col. Kenneth Moss, commander of the 374th Airlift Wing] explained. \u201cI reassured them I wasn\u2019t mad.\u201d<\/p>\n Moss did not identify the airman.<\/p>\n \u201cParking that way allowed me to thank an airman and his family as well as uncover a problem,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n It turned out that not only had the couple made a responsible choice in not driving after enjoying a few drinks, the space wasn\u2019t even marked as reserved when they\u2019d parked.<\/p>\n The wing commander\u2019s parking space is marked in two ways \u2014 a curbside label and a removable sign hanging from a frame. But the curbside label had fallen off and the sign was only hung when the commander had official business at the club.<\/p>\n \u201cThe signs were placed after the car was already in the spot so the airman did nothing wrong,\u201d Moss said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
