The suspect fled toward a bedroom that the woman&#8217;s younger children were in, and the adult child shot him.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect then jumped out a second-story window. Officers later located him a few blocks away.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier the same morning, officers were called to the residence when the ex-girlfriend, who is out of town, noticed on her security cameras that the suspect was trying to get inside.
