He made <a href=\"https:\/\/wsvn.com\/news\/special-reports\/air-force-investigating-after-man-says-prank-got-him-kicked-off-south-florida-military-base\/\">the news in Florida<\/a> this week when he was caught on Homestead Air Reserve Base pretending to be an airman<\/p>\n<p><iframe src='\/\/players.brightcove.net\/4368278029001\/HyZhqV2ePb_default\/index.html?videoId=5784798950001' allowfullscreen frameborder=0><\/iframe><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Jean\u2019s godmother says he has pretended to be in the military for years, worn fatigues and even talked about going off to training.<\/p>\n<p>Brian Entin: \u201cIs he believable?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Talmecia Minnis: \u201cVery. Very convincing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She says the latest incident took things to another level.<\/p>\n<p>Talmecia Minnis: \u201cIt\u2019s escalating bad. Very bad.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last year, Jean was arrested in Florida City for openly carrying a gun that was reported stolen. In his arrest report, an officer wrote Jean said he got the gun from a \u201cfriend\u201d when they \u201c\u2026were shooting in the military base.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And, in a court document, Jean listed his address as \u201cHomestead Air Reserve Base.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We found Diomonte Jean at a house in Florida City.<\/p>\n<p>Brian: \u201cDiomonte Jean?\u201d (Jean shakes his head no.)<\/p>\n<p>At first he denied who he was \u2014 but then agreed to talk.<\/p>\n<p>Brian Entin: \u201cHow were you able to get on the base?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Diomonte Jean: \u201cHow was I able to get on the base?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Brian Entin: \u201cYeah, not being in the military.
