{"id":78674,"date":"2018-04-03T13:13:18","date_gmt":"2018-04-03T17:13:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=78674"},"modified":"2018-04-03T13:13:18","modified_gmt":"2018-04-03T17:13:18","slug":"air-force-affirms-colonels-religious-beliefs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=78674","title":{"rendered":"Air Force affirms Colonel&#8217;s religious beliefs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?attachment_id=78675\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-78675\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Col.-Leland-Bohannon.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"177\" height=\"284\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-78675\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stripes.com\/news\/colonel-had-religious-right-to-refuse-to-sign-same-sex-spouse-appreciation-letter-air-force-says-1.520156\">Stars &#038; Stripes<\/a>, the Air Force decided in favor of Colonel Leland Bohannon who decided that his religious beliefs prevented him from signing a certificate of appreciation for the same-sex spouse of a retiring master sergeant in his command. Instead he handed it to his commander to sign. <\/p>\n<p>The retiring master sergeant who felt that Bohannon had slighted him and his partner filed an EO complaint and Bohannon was removed from his command position and from the promotion list as a result of the complaint. Bohannon appealed the decision on the basis of his religious beliefs;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p> The Air Force said that Col.
