He served with Battery C, 2d Battalion, 20th Artillery of the 1st Cavalry Division from October 1967 to June 1969. According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/aad.archives.gov\/aad\/fielded-search.jsp?dt=197&#038;cat=WR28&#038;tf=F&#038;bc=,sl\">National Archives<\/a>, there was no Thomas Hooper killed in Vietnam;<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?attachment_id=78458\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-78458\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/Hooper-casualties.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"799\" height=\"754\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-78458\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/Hooper-casualties.jpg 799w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/Hooper-casualties-300x283.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/Hooper-casualties-768x725.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/Hooper-casualties-353x333.jpg 353w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 799px) 100vw, 799px\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>He also claims that Robert Connelly was captured and imprisoned at the Hanoi Hilton. The historian of NAM POW, Captain Mike McGrath, an actual POW of the Vietnam War, says that there was no Robert Connelly captured and held as a POW or returned in 1973 with Captain McGrath.
