From White City, Oregon<\/a>;<\/p>\n

30-year-old James Bennett is currently in the hospital, and will be brought to jail once he is released.<\/p>\n

Detectives believe that Bennett and at least one accomplice approached an apartment on the 7600 block of Division Road in White City with the intent of committing a crime. In attempting a home invasion robbery, Bennett was shot by a resident.<\/p>\n

Bennett called 911 for medical attention around 8:19 p.m. that evening. Deputies found him near Division Road and Carr Street. Bennett was transported to Rogue Medical Center with a single gunshot wound to the stomach. <\/p>\n

The shooter’s name has not been released, and JCSO says that he has been cooperating with investigators. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

From New Orleans, Louisiana<\/a>;<\/p>\n

It happened at Thai D-Jing food truck around 8 p.m., which was parked in the 200 block of Morgan Street.<\/p>\n

According to an initial police report, after closing down for the night, the 37-year-old victim recognized someone who robbed him last week approaching his truck. The victim locked the doors, but the alleged robber tried to open them before jumping on the hood of the truck and pulling out a gun.<\/p>\n

Police said the victim fired one shot through the window and the alleged robber ran away.<\/p>\n

An initial police report said the same truck was robbed last Wednesday night while parked at the same location. In that robbery, the victim said an armed man stuck his head into the driver’s side of the truck. The man reportedly threatened to shoot employees if they did not give him money.
