DeKalb County Sheriff Deputies arrested him the other day for the murder when they discovered that he is also a deserter from the US Navy according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ajc.com\/news\/crime--law\/military-fugitive-arrested-murder-home-invasion-charges\/GRaIgpUWfCx8V8d9Vz2c7I\/\">Atlanta Journal Constitution<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Purvis, 22, was armed when he entered a motel room in the 4800 block of Memorial Drive, according to arrest warrants.
