{"id":77524,"date":"2018-02-05T08:52:51","date_gmt":"2018-02-05T13:52:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=77524"},"modified":"2018-02-05T08:52:51","modified_gmt":"2018-02-05T13:52:51","slug":"us-begins-another-withdrawal-from-iraq","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=77524","title":{"rendered":"US begins another withdrawal from Iraq"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?attachment_id=28097\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-28097\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/last-convoy-out-of-Iraq.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"294\" height=\"112\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-28097\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/u-forces-begin-reducing-numbers-iraq-iraqi-spokesman-105719223.html\">Reuters<\/a> reports that the US is beginning their third withdrawal from Iraq in as many decades, according to an Iraqi government spokesman, after the defeat of ISIS.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;The American forces have begun reducing their numbers as victory has been achieved over Daesh,&#8221; the spokesman told Reuters. &#8220;Coordination continues, to maintain (U.S.) assistance to the Iraqi forces in accordance with their requirements.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The United States had more than 5,500 troops in Iraq at the height of the battle of Mosul in July 2017, making up about half the total force deployed by the coalition in the country.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The Pentagon isn&#8217;t confirming that news, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/iraq-us-troops-drawdown-ap-military-declares-isis-beaten-afghanistan\/\">Associated Press<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>U.S. military spokesman Col.
